The Trial
Someone must have been spreading lies about Josef K., for without having done anything wrong, he was arrested one morning. The Trial follows a man caught in the grip of an unnamed, faceless authority. No crime is named. No law is explained. Yet the process begins—and once begun, it does not stop. K. seeks answers, clarity, justice. He finds instead corridors, whispers, unreadable documents, and doors that lead only to other doors. The court is everywhere and nowhere. It waits behind tenement walls, beneath cathedrals, inside the mind. This is not merely a tale of law. It is about existence within systems too large to see, too hollow to resist. It is about guilt without cause, punishment without end, and the terrible dignity of still asking why when the answer has already been forgotten. The trial does not end. It concludes.
