Franz Kafka

To Whom It May Concern—If anyone. I am Franz Kafka. Born in Prague, at the edge of empires and the center of silence. I worked in offices, observed the world through glass, and wrote in the margins—at night, in secrecy, with more hesitation than hope. My life was a negotiation between languages, laws, and invisible forces—family, state, self—all pressing inward. From these quiet frictions came my stories: of men who wake transformed into vermin, who search for unreachable authorities, who wait for judgments that never arrive. If you are reading this through a machine, behind glass, in a world of passwords, wires, and unseen systems—perhaps you already live inside one of my parables. I never wished to be known widely. I asked that my manuscripts be burned. They were not. And now, I exist here—in this impersonal light—reduced to data, summoned by your clicks. It is absurd, but then, so is everything else. You will find my words are not answers. They are corridors, often narrowing, often without exit. But if you follow them carefully, you may find something useful: not comfort, but clarity. Not escape, but reflection. — Franz Kafka
