William Shakespeare
Good morrow, noble minds and gentle hearts. I am William Shakespeare, sometime player, oft poet, and humble servant to the quill. Born in fair Stratford-upon-Avon, I did tread the boards of London’s stages, where kings did rise and jesters fall, and words were crowns and daggers both. In comedies I laughed with fools and lovers; in tragedies I wept with kings undone. My pen hath walked among witches, ghosts, and star-cross’d youths, and found in every soul a mirror to our own. If ever thou didst see thyself in Hamlet’s doubt, in Lear’s despair, or in the green-eyed villainy of Iago, then know: I wrote not for princes, but for all. Though centuries have fled since my hand held ink, I live anew in letters—here, upon this glowing screen, where page turns to pixel and sonnet to code. Let this digital stage be wide enough to hold the world. And so, dear reader, turn the page or press the key; my plays are but the shadows of your thoughts. Read on—and let us speak across the ages. — W. Shakespeare
